Amaravati: The AP Cabinet met under the chairmanship of CM Chandrababu took several important decisions. The Cabinet has given approval to give 3 free gas cylinders from Diwali. If you buy a cylinder by paying cash, it has been decided to ensure that the cash is credited back to the account within 48 hours. Instead of taking three cylinders at once, it was decided to give one cylinder every four months. There was a discussion in the cabinet that through this scheme the state government will be burdened with Rs.2700 crore per year.

The cabinet approved the cancellation of scenery and GST charges under the free sand policy. It is estimated that the cancellation of scenery charges will cost the government Rs.264 crores. It is reported that the CM has said that he will bear the loss to fulfill the goal of free sand. The cabinet has given approval to anyone who takes sand from the patta lands. The CM issued instructions to the Ministers and District In-charge Ministers to ensure that free sand is implemented properly. It has been decided to put mineral dealers in the districts where there is no sand and take up price control. The Cabinet approved the amendment to increase the number of members in the temple committees to provide place for Brahmins and Nai Brahmins.

Cancellation of land allotment to Visakha Sarada Peetha..

The Cabinet approved the proposal to take back 15 acres of the most valuable land, which the Jagan government had built as a loan to Sarada Peetha, which belonged to the controversial Peetha of Visakha, Swaroopanandendra. During the Vaikapa government, the then CM Jagan, his mentor and closest friend, Swaroopanandendra Korinde, gave away the land worth Rs. crores near the sea shore, adjacent to Bhimili town, at the cost of Rs. lakh per acre. The NDA government has identified this as part of a review of the illegal land allocations that took place during the previous government's regime. It was decided to cancel the allotment of land to Sarada Peetha.
